I live in the north where it is still below freezing (we thaw out in April/May.) Our growing season is too short and too cold for these guys to live outdoors year round so I keep them on a windowsill with supplemental grow lights. So far my guys are doing pretty well.

  1. Teye says:

If i win I will put the Carl Linnaeus print in my bedroom, so I can see every day, before I go to sleep, how unknown and stupid the best biologist of that time was and ofcourse to remind them to water them 😂.

  2. Kristofer says:

The print will most likely go in my bedroom, though I hope to expand my CP (and related!) display options when I get my own place 😉

  3. Grace Deitzler says:

The Linneaus print would go right above my ‘plant table’ where all my beautiful plants sit! Or next to my desk in my lab- not quite sure yet 🙂

  4. Adrian Feliciano says:

I love your instagram page. very inspiring. im ready to step into the sexy sarracenia world. my purprea did not not survive this dormancy 🙁

  5. Alison says:

This is a super exciting giveaway! I can just imagine that fabulous print on my livingroom wall so I can enjoy it every day! Thank you for the chance!

  6. Andrés Felipe says:

If I win the impression of Carl Linnaeus, I do would put it in my living room, next to my library or on the wall over the couch, where everybody can see it

  7. Darold says:

If I win, I’d like to setup the print where it can displayed for all to enjoy at our CP group meeting room.

  8. Jevon says:

I would get a badass frame for the print then put it on the empty space of wall next to my window in my room which happens to be FULL of carnivorous plants and other plants!!!!

  9. Derek says:

I would love any of these things! I’d put the print next to my bedside window and the plant in my bog with the other carnivores. I know just the spot

  10. Jessica Bourne says:

I would put the poster on my wall next to my nepenthes windowsill garden. LOVE your website, by the way. It has helped me so much as a carnivorous plant newbie!

  11. Maggie says:

I have an antique frame I found that is just waiting for some paint and the right picture. I think I will frame it and give it to my awesome grandma who I inherited my love of plants from – especially the strange and unusual.

    • Maria says:

That sounds fantastic, Maggie! I’m sure it will look great in an antique frame and that your grandma will love it. 🙂

  12. Deborah says:

I would put it next to my collection of botanical prints in my living room. The walls are painted a moody blue color and it would look great against it.

  13. Patrick says:

Thanks for another awesome giveaway! If I win this print its coming traveling with me wherever I end up doing seasonal field work this summer.

  14. Mark Griffin says:

I got a spot up on my wall inbetween all of my carnivorous plants book and other prints and feild trip photos of ceph growing in the wild over in western australia l took only about 3 weeks ago ….

  15. Frenchie says:

My bedroom used to be my mom’s in the 70s, and one wall is a huge, yellow and green hand painted mural of flowers and grass. I’ve been thinking lately that some carnivorous plant-themed decor would go perfectly with it, and even though I was eyeing some of your pillows, that art print would be fantastic too!

  16. David Laughlin says:

I would post it on my bedroom door in a bid to frighten off the faint of heart, or at least the ones that make it past the butterworts in one piece.

  17. Daniel Niedospial says:

    This is so cool!!
I love seeing people like yourself strengthening these communities 🙂

There’s a good amount of white space in my dorm room and I have the perfect place for that poster. Being reminded of how organisms defy what we constitute as “nature” is without a doubt one of the best ways to wake up every morning.

I have yet to adopt any carnivorous plants, but the Sarracenia would be a beautiful addition to my little balcony family~

Someone has to receive these gifts, so I can’t really say that It’s possible for me to lose when someone else is fortunate-

    THANK YOU!

    • Maria says:

Sounds like perfect spots for both prizes, Daniel! 🙂 Thank YOU! It’s because I want to give people the chance for their first carnivore that I do these giveaways. 🙂

  18. josh says:

I would frame it and hang it right inside the front door! Thank you again for the oppurtunity, the plant is gorgeous

  19. Megan says:

I’m running out of wall space for prints (is “too much art” technically a problem?) but would absolutely find room for this one … Front hallway, maybe?

  20. Reed says:

What a beautiful print and a lovely hybrid. The print will hang beside my insect collection and the Sarracenia will hang by my Saguaro, where they can chat about plant stuff.

  21. Shannon says:

If I win the Carl Linnaeus art print, I would hang it in my Library/Art Room, to display the natural beauty of the wonders of plants & exploration. I’d use it as inspiration for my personal art, and for acquiring carnivorous plants which I’m excited to grow!! 🙂

  22. robin says:

I’d love a Drosera binate plant to add to my other Drosera Sundews. all Sundews are very hard to find in my area, but I’d be happy with any kind.

  23. robin says:

since I am a beginner to the carnivorous plant world. I love the one plant I do have & I’m always on the look out for another one. my large plant table looks so bare with just one plant, it’s big enough for a 10gallon tank along with it. so I keep looking I hope to find more with Carnivore Girl.

  24. Tiffany says:

I think i would put the print in my kitchen by the window, so that i see it in the morning when i watch the sun come up on my outdoor Carnivorous plants. This quote always makes me smile!

  25. Jeremy Feistner says:

I absolutely adore the print and I really hope that someone that can’t affords it wins it! I really Appreciate Maria and the hard work she puts in to making the carnivorous plant world so much fun! Hip Hip Hooray for Maria!
