Happy Friday everyone! Now that we’re just about fully into dormancy here, there is not as much action going on as in the last few months. I did buy some more Sarracenia recently, (yes I know!) which I’m super excited about! Check them out in the photo below:
Yikes, please don’t mind my dirty pots! These look pretty similar to my Headless Hammerheads right now, but will look super diverse and colorful in the spring! Don’t ask, I don’t know why I like to torture myself with buying dormant plants and then waiting a whole season to enjoy them. This is the first time I’ve bought dormant plants, so we’ll see how crazy and impatient I am in another month or two! Anyway, from left to right, these Sarrs are:
- Leah Wilkerson x Brunswick Beauty
- Flava var. atropurpurea (F27a MK)
- Doodle Bug
This reminds me: aside from growing seedlings over winter, I also need to sit down and make a proper grow list! My collection has expanded significantly this year and I need to keep track of everything I have.
Raindrops keep falling on my plants…
Some different kind of dormancy photos for ya! We had a bit of rain this past week and I had to share some photos. I just love how my plants look covered in rain drops!
PS: The first rainy photo is also the cover image of my brand new Facebook Page! That’s right, I’m on Facebook now! Please like me (I definitely like you :D)!
Lastly, I made a small change to the website’s navigation. I merged book links and artist features into a single page now called Books/Gifts/Merch. If you are looking for cool carnivorous plant art, books, and supplies, it’s all easier to find on a single page now. Start adding things to your holiday wish list or shop for your fellow carnivore lovers!
More Books/Gifts/Merch will be added soon (including some of my own!), and I’ll be doing another giveaway in the next week or so. Remember to sign up for the email list to find out first when I’m doing a new contest!
That’s all for now, folks. Have an excellent weekend!
