The Sarracenia Forum is one of my favorite places to hang out online. It’s a small community, but active with members who love Sarracenia and their fair share of dirty jokes. My kinda people! They’re also dedicated to protecting and preserving Sarracenia, especially species that are in danger of becoming extinct in the wild, or already have become extinct.
A couple times per year, forum members put on fundraisers to support groups like the North American Sarracenia Conservancy and Meadowview Biological Research Station. Recently, the forum held an online auction in which members raised over $1100. Every penny went directly to the NASC!
Now, the Sarracenia Forum has designed their annual, limited edition T shirt to raise funds for Meadowview Biological Research Station! This year’s shirt features the adorable, chubby Sarracenia purpurea var. monata! If you love Sarracenia, I highly encourage you to join the forum and consider buying a shirt! There are five different styles to choose from. See below!
My personal favorite is the V-neck. That will be my purchase!
These shirts are available for a limited time through Teespring! This campaign ends next Monday April 27th! We are less than 10 shirts away from the goal of 40, but even after meeting the goal, every sale means more money to securing land for Sarracenia populations!
Carnivorous plant lovers are a small demographic, but that means every person that contributes can make a HUGE impact! This is one of the few causes I get behind because I truly believe in it. It’s not something recited to me at my front door by a little kid that makes me want to roll my eyes all way back into my head.
Any questions about the forum or Meadowview? Got any opinions or suggestions on the shirts? Let me know in a comment!
